Liquid Muse – Logo

Liquid Muse Logo
Here’s a fun project I just finished up at The Robin Shepherd Group with Tom Schifanella. Liquid Muse is a benifit concert put on by The St. Johns Riverkeeper to help raise funds/awareness for the ecological preservation of the St. Johns. Our hope was to convey balance, ecology & music in a single mark…. we also tried to keep in mind production costs & practical uses across multiple applications. So far the client seems pleased with the result & plans to start rolling out promotional materials in the coming month… there’s even been talk of screen prining a few posters for the event… hope you enjoy

Workbeast – Logo
Here’s a logo I worked on in conjunction with Thought & Theory for a company called Workbeast, a networking resouce for IT/web professionals. The challenge was to create a new, more simplified, mark based off of Workbeast’s current logo (a circle shaped dragon, with glasses & a tie). We presented several options, some just simplifiying what they already had & others venturing further out, but still keeping the dragon in mind. After a couple rounds of revisions, the client chose the W-Dragon as the direction the wanted to pursue. I think the most challenging part about the project was trying to nail down a look that would be appropraite for a web based company and still translate well to single color print applications. Overall I’m pretty happy with the final result.. hope you enjoy

Sam Sports Line – Logo
A while back I had the opportunity to do a logo for sports reporter & and guru, Sam Kouvaris. After a few sketches and a couple of emails, Sam settled on the idea of a contemporary take on a retro reporters microphone. The idea was pretty straight forward, but very appropriate Sam’s brand of sports news… clean, professional, & worth the read. Hope you enjoy!

Elemental Construction – Logo
Here’s a logo I worked on with Damon Williams for Elemental Construction. The client was looking for a simple mark that would convey the quality of their work & translate well across multiple applications. Finding the right typface for the “E” was clutch in making this mark work. Ultimately, Copperplate conveyed the right amount craftsmanship & provided a natural base for the screw as the center prong. Hope you enjoy…

Sweet n’ Flour – Logo
Sweet n’ Flour is a soon-to-be skyrocketing baked goods business from one of my favorite bakers’, Marisa L.C. Ratliff. Normally I don’t consider myself to be a “sweets person” but there’s something extra special about Marisa’s tasty creations that makes me forget myself just long enough to enjoy 1 or 2 of her fantastic floury foods. The challenge for tron & I was to come up with a logo design that would do justice to her baking talents. Sometimes logo collaberation (or any design collab.) can be tough, but this has fortunately never been the case for us. Somehow we seem to share the same design brain, which makes collaborations like this one, cake.

B&W Icons
Here’s a few random icon bits from the past. I’m a true believer in graphics that work in 1 color (or 2 if you wannna’ get all fancy-like)… some of the strongest marks, symbols & icons do it without the benifit of the C.M.Y… Hope you enjoy!
The Stork Fork – Logo

The Stork Fork Logo
The Stork Fork is a Brooklyn based food company that focuses on fresh foods for expecting mothers, babies and beyond. When a good friend of mine approached me with the project he had already given T.S.F. a lot of thought. So much so, that when it came time to create a logo it made my job extremely easy. With a name like The Stork Fork and clear vision from the start, projects like this one fly… hope you enjoy

Oak Street Distribution Logo
Here’s a logo I recently completed at The Robin Shepherd Group for, Oak Street Distribution. The logo idea is pretty simple (and literal) and came together in a morning’s time. The obvious can be a frightening place sometimes… there’s always pressure, as a creative, to be increasingly clever with every piece you produce. Sometimes we feel the need to spend copious amounts of time toiling over ideas, execution, cleverness, and relevance. But on occasion, the most appropriate solutions are the first thing that comes to mind.

Bold City Brewery Logo
Here’s a logo I did at The Robin Shepherd Group for Bold City Brewery. The owners of Bold City Brewery are all about beer and Jacksonville (where they were born and rasied)… so when it came time to create a new logo for their grower bottles, naturally, they wanted to incorporate both. After a bit of back and forth, and some skyline tweaking , we settled in a place that balances the local identity of Jacksonville with the uniqueness of Bold City Brewery. Hope you enjoy…
Breast Cancer Co-Op. – Logo

Breast Cancer Co-Op. Logo
A while back I had the chance to work on this logo for a pet health company looking to donate a portion of it’s earnings to breast cancer research. You might be thinking to yourself, “what does breast cancer have to do with pets?”… Directly, not a whole lot, but idea behind the alliance was that healthy pets need healthy owners to live fulfilled lives. Trying to link up the two ideas in a single mark was an interesting challenge, but in the end I was pretty happy with how things turned out. hope you enjoy…
