Bold City Brewery – Packaging Update
I recently had the opportunity to revisit some of the branding/packaging elements for Bold City Brewery. Up to this point Bold City has been bottling much of their beer, but a few months ago they decided to make the switch over to cans. The goal was to stay true to the existing brand and labels, but develop a system that more tightly unified all of the packaging across the board (as well as other branded efforts). Based on inspiration from the brewery’s warehouse floor, and the owner’s bust-ass work ethic, I chose a slanted stripe similar to ones found on loading docks to help define the family of the pieces… the small adjustment felt like a natural fit for the earnest, Jacksonville brand. The roll-out plan is to fold the new stripe into other printed and digital pieces as the need calls until the effort is completed. Below are a few places we’ve implemented the updated system, as-well-as a brief video Shepherd put together of the canning process.
